For MABA Retail we are building a distribution centre for the packing of fresh potatoes with two advanced weighing and packing lines to be installed. One Propak machine for the packing of potato in 10-25 kg net bags for local end export markets (Russia and Middle East). The second Propak machine is for the packing of potatoes in 2-5 kg verti-bags for the servicing of retail markets in Cairo as well as in other larger cities in Egypt. The sorting and washing lines as well as all conveyors and bunkers are manufactured by Prinsen/Visser. The construction in Egypt is progress with machines currently being installed. Commissioning is anticipated end of July 2015.

In addition MABA Retail has rendered training in potato cultivation and variety selection on 2 and 3 June 2015 to a group of 60 farmers.
